BCD Travel with new Management in the Nordic Region

Business Travel Company announces Stefan Vorndran as the Senior Vice President Northern & Central Europe

Copenhagen, 7 April 2010 – Early this year the Travel Management Company BCD Travel appointed Stefan Vorndran the new head of the Nordic Region. Vorndran, who was previously responsible for BCD Travel in Germany, Switzerland and the Czech Republic now also takes charge of the Nordic Region including Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. The newly established Division “North & Central” headed by Vorndran, oversees more than 2,700 employees.

BCD Travel Expands Operations In Greece

UTRECHT, THE NETHERLANDS, 14 October 2009 – BCD Travel, today announced that it has expanded its operations in Greece by establishing a joint venture with Amphitrion Holidays SA. The joint venture will operate under the BCD Travel brand. Amphitrion Holidays was founded in 1973 and has an annual turnover of US$143 million. The company provides a complete range of travel services (including corporate, leisure, marine, incoming, and meetings and incentives), with 250 employees in six offices, including a 24-hour operation at the Athens airport.

Advito Releases 2009 Industry Forecast For Business Travel

DALLAS, 2 October, 2008 – Net airfares will increase on average by 6 percent to 8 percent against 2008, while additional fees will increase the total cost of air travel even more. Meanwhile, softening demand in the hotel market will progressively strengthen buyers’ negotiation power, according to the just-released 2009 Industry Forecast from Advito, BCD Travel’s independent consulting unit.

UTRECHT, THE NETHERLANDS, 23 July, 2008 – In an effort to reduce costs, travel and procurement managers are focusing on enforcing travel policy – but while they may be driving out costs in some areas, preferred supplier compliance is declining , according to BCD Travel’s 2008 Travel Program Survey.
